ABOUT WINE COUNTRY ZOOLOGICAL

Brandi originally established Safari Encounters in 2016 in Fresno, California, after graduating college with honors and having extensive experience with sloths, various primates, and cats. She grew the program over the next few years to over 100 animals and moved to Sonoma County. While guest speaking across the country, she met Daniel. Daniel joined in 2019, bringing his zoological experience in building and designing exhibits, as well as his passion for reptiles and aquatics. Graduating with honors after serving in the U.S. Air Force, he specializes in crocodilian biology and management. During the 2020 pandemic they built the Sonoma Sloth House as a way to provide for the animals in their care and continue rescue efforts. Finally, we have all found a forever home and a final name!
